Cottage was just perfect for our short stay. Beautiful views and really conveniently located. The cottage was clean and really well stocked with the little things you don’t want to have to bring/buy when self catering like olive oil and salt/pepper. All beds were super comfy and having a bath (as well as 2 showers) was great for our 2 young children who like baths and hate showers! We’ll definitely stay at the belvedere cottage again.

We stayed in room 1 where we had a great view of the bay and Goatfell. The room was big with a large en-suite toilet and shower and always kept clean. The breakfast was good too, with a range of choices from fruit to full Scottish. The hosts were very welcoming and we would definitely stay again.

Great location just 5 minutes walk from pier. Fantastic view over Brodick Bay and Goatfell. Great breakfast with several choices available. Single room with shared bathroom both immaculate. Have been before and will be back again.

It was my second time on Arran and as before I stayed at the excellent Belvedere.

When one sets high standards it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain them but I am delighted to say that the charming owners Jan and Chris have possibly exceeded the levels of comfort from those on my previous visit last year!

A close proximity to the ferry terminal, impeccable rooms (free wifi), delicious & substantial breakfasts and a stunning view of the mountain ridges really do make Belvedere my first and only choice of B&B on the island.

For those needing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city I could not recommend a visit to Arran and a stay Belvedere more highly. The only shame was that I could only stay two nights. The next Arran mountain ridge walk is already being planned!

Recently visited the Isle of Arran for the second time, first being 23 years ago. Couldn’t think of a better place to stay. Chris and Jan are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Breakfast was fantastic, compliments to the chef!

I was in room 1 which has an amazing view across the bay to goat fell. When I wasn’t out walking I sat looking out of the window at the ferries coming into dock and the mountains. Couldn’t have felt more relaxed and stress free.

I’m already planing my next visit. An ideal getaway to recharge your batteries.

Chris and Jan are very warm and welcoming hosts. The breakfasts were excellent with good choice. It was also very helpful to be able to order a take away one night and eat in the dining room with plates warmed in the oven... we didn’t even have to do our own dishes!

Brodick town centre is just a short walk down a small hill and yet the views over the bay toward Goat Fell from the front of the BandB are wonderful. Rooms clean and well appointed and although rooms at back have limited view this doesn’t matter if you are spending most time in the great outdoors, or the comfortable guest lounge at the front of house

Stayed May 2015, travelled as a couple

Excellent service provided by hosts Chris and Jan. Fantastic breakfasts, beautifully cooked and presented. The room was perfect, warm and welcoming, with attractive decor, ensuite roomy with new shower installed. Superb position on Arran, superb views, a quiet location but within easy walking distance to all main amenities. Booking was made easy, very efficient service. Wish I was back there...

About Belvedere

Belvedere was built in 1920 by a retiring sea captain, who brought back South American mahogany as ship’s ballast, from which the doors and skirtings are made.
Visitors have been coming to Belvedere ever since, some returning over many years.
