All the facilities you need and handy for beach, shops, cafes etc. Immaculately presented and superb preparation. Excellent precautions taken with regard to Covid 19 and great communication from the owners.
Had an absolutely lovely stay at the Belvedere over the New Year, although I knew as soon as arrived and saw the sign in the porch, ’Arrive as strangers, leave as friends,’ and the house kind of gave me a warm hug that it was my kind of place! I’m well travelled and have stayed at many B & B’s and hotels but the Belvedere is a special little haven, thanks to Allan and his hospitality. Allan is just a diamond and ensured I had everything I needed and was well looked after. The room and (adjoining private) bathroom was immaculate and everything was provided, including wine glass, and use of the fridge to make my stay comfortable. The bed and bedding were perfect. I don’t usually sleep well when I’m away but was very happy to get a solid few nights while staying here. Breakfast was delicious and set me up perfectly for the day. It’s a beautiful old house on a quiet road perched overlooking the main town of Brodick, an ideal location for ferry and getting around the island. I only wish I’d been able to stay longer and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook if I return to the beautiful Isle of Arran. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your home, and for such warm Scottish hospitality, Allan and staff. x
There is obvious pride of ownership and Allan goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. And he is an amazing cook! Thank you for sharing your wonderful guest home!
Alan was very welcoming and took the time to explain everything about our room. We were lucky to have a fantastic view of the bay from our twin room. Everyone has this view when sitting in the lounge area or eating breakfast, which was amazing.
Tips for other travellers: Use the lane to get down to the seafront in minutes.
Cottage was just perfect for our short stay. Beautiful views and really conveniently located. The cottage was clean and really well stocked with the little things you don’t want to have to bring/buy when self catering like olive oil and salt/pepper. All beds were super comfy and having a bath (as well as 2 showers) was great for our 2 young children who like baths and hate showers! We’ll definitely stay at the belvedere cottage again.
Excellent location and stunning views over the bay and towards Goat Fell.
Friendly welcome and comfortable room.
We stayed in room 1 where we had a great view of the bay and Goatfell. The room was big with a large en-suite toilet and shower and always kept clean. The breakfast was good too, with a range of choices from fruit to full Scottish. The hosts were very welcoming and we would definitely stay again.
Great location just 5 minutes walk from pier. Fantastic view over Brodick Bay and Goatfell. Great breakfast with several choices available. Single room with shared bathroom both immaculate. Have been before and will be back again.
It was my second time on Arran and as before I stayed at the excellent Belvedere.
When one sets high standards it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain them but I am delighted to say that the charming owners Jan and Chris have possibly exceeded the levels of comfort from those on my previous visit last year!
A close proximity to the ferry terminal, impeccable rooms (free wifi), delicious & substantial breakfasts and a stunning view of the mountain ridges really do make Belvedere my first and only choice of B&B on the island.
For those needing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city I could not recommend a visit to Arran and a stay Belvedere more highly. The only shame was that I could only stay two nights. The next Arran mountain ridge walk is already being planned!

Recently visited the Isle of Arran for the second time, first being 23 years ago. Couldn’t think of a better place to stay. Chris and Jan are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Breakfast was fantastic, compliments to the chef!
I was in room 1 which has an amazing view across the bay to goat fell. When I wasn’t out walking I sat looking out of the window at the ferries coming into dock and the mountains. Couldn’t have felt more relaxed and stress free.
I’m already planing my next visit. An ideal getaway to recharge your batteries.
